Unfortunately they don't mention the length/circumference, etc. on this product. I guessed wrong. Ended up taking my dryers model number to a local appliance parts house and paid double for the correct part...but it fit perfectly.

Electrolux JetMaxx® Bagged Canister Vacuum

Electrolux JetMaxx vs. Panasonic MC-CG917
I had previously compared the Panasonic MC-CG917 to the MC-CG902, and established the the x917 made a bunch of small improvements over the x902 without regressing in any way, so let's compare this Electrolux JetMaxx to the Panasonic MC-CG917.

Both are very similar bagged canister vacuums with a lot of similar features and design ideas. But each machine has shown me that the other is imperfect. Because I gave the Panasonic five stars, I feel I should do the same for the Electrolux. Here are the pros of each machine:

PROS for ELECTROLUX:

+ Definitely quieter. It may be similar decibel-wise, but from a sones standpoint - the loudness perceived by humans - it is much quieter. This equals less annoyance and less having to turn the television up when someone else is vacuuming. You can basically have a normal conversation over it, especially when the brush roller is not being used or by turning the suction down...

+ ...which is another point...

Comparison of the JetMaxx with the Panasonic Optiflow and Miele midsize
I've been using the same Miele S312 vacuum for about 15 years, and also have a Panasonic MC-CG917 "OptiFlow" Bag Canister Vacuum, so I was happy to get this to compare. I found it to be superior to the other (also HEPA) vacuums in terms of raw rug cleaning power, with a few issues.

* DOES IT SUCK?: In this case, Electrolux lives up to its name. Not only did the vacuum lift crud out of my entry rug that the Miele had missed, it lifted the entry rug. But much of this is the "Power Nozzle" floor tool, which is an appliance in its own right.

* FORM FACTOR: All three of the vacuums consists of a small-ish teardrop-shaped body containing the motor and bag, along with a hose, extendable wand, and various cleaning heads. All three have hoses that do 360-degree rotation. The hose bearing on the Miele is metal (not sure if that's true for the newest models), on the other two it's plastic. The hoses on...

The ultimate vacuum cleaner
I've been a huge Electrolux fan since about 2002 when I bought my first canister model. I bought it from an actual "vacuum cleaner dealership" (are these even around any more??) and paid over $500. It was the most expensive vacuum cleaner I ever bought.

It worked great until about 2009, when my housekeeper vacuumed up some snow and fried the motor.

So I bought another Electrolux, this time a canister model that cost about $300 and lasted until 2012-- when a different housekeeper vacuumed up a wet floor after watering plants. The moral of this story (well, there are probably plenty) is that the Electrolux canister is not a wet-dry vac. In fact, water of any kind seems universally lethal to the canisters.

Anyhow, I bought my third Electrolux green last year and it works just as great as the others. It was significantly cheaper, which you can tell from the construction and weight of plastic-- especially the hose.

Stens 100-450 Air Filter Replaces Tecumseh 36046 740061

Not quite equivalent to original design
The engine performance was different with this filter. The number of pleats is different, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. I used to be able to run the gas tank dry. Now with this filter in the engine dies before I can empty the tank. I don't like that. I'm not sure if that means air starvation or what, but the performance is NOT equivalent to the original part number, nor is the filter paper the same.

GE : IM4A Ice Maker Kit

Works great, easy instal
I ordered this unit to put in a GE refrigerator that did not contain an ice maker. The installation was not very difficult. It took me an hour or so to install (I was not rushing). It has been working great. It makes a great amount of ice in a short time. I am very happy with my purchase.

It Works
I ordered this model because it was the one listed in the Owner's Manual. lt turns out you can use the newer model (IM6, I believe) but it may or may not have some design/manufacturing flaws depending on what you read. Either way the unit works great and was easy to install. All of the parts I needed were included (even a few that I didn't need because they came with our refrigerator).
The only complaint I have is probably more a design flaw: the ice tends to overfill the bucket until it overflows. It could be an install error on my part I suppose but there isn't too much room for error.

Easy!
i got this item and installed it within 5 minutes of taking it out of the package. i only needed the replacement ice part, not all the wires and water tubes. but it was the easiest thing to install.

Model 365 Mini Dehumidifier

I bought two of them.
I have a Champion Safe with a nice collection of antique and modern firearms. I purchased the first along with a digital Temp/Humidity Monitor. It worked so good, that I bought a second and use it in the guest room where the safe is kept.

got this for my 12 rifle gun safe and it seems to work fine. It seems like i'm having to "re-charge" it every 2-3 weeks and I don't know if this is normal or not. I wish it had some type of timer that beeped that would let you know it was time to unplug it. I accidentally left mine plugged in for about 18 hours and it was really hot which may be a safety concern.

Works well
Bought this as a gift for my husband. We keep our gun safe in our garage now and bought this to ensure there was no mositure in it. It has a great indicator with the colored beads and is easy to recharge. He loves it.

Not worth the money
I searched for the best price of replacement pads for my Shark steamer. I ordered this and when I got them, they came in a manila envelope folded up. Tried to use them on my steamer and they stuck to floor. They were very thin and nothing like the original product. Apparently these were not from Shark as advertised. This makes me not want to order from anyone other than the manufacturer, which I did after these were such a fail. And I threw the ones I had ordered fro Amazon in the trash.

Light weight gear storage
These are perfect for storing sleeping bags, down parkas and comforters. I have high ceilings in master bedroom with a ledge that I access with a 12' ladder. These bins look great up there and store all our light weight bulky items that we don't need all the time.

1 Hoover Floormate Filter; Washable & Reusable; Compare to Part # 40112050; Designed & Engineered by Crucial Vacuum

Fine product, but box does not match description
I am sure this is a fine product, and it looks and behaves just fine, but the item description says the item is "WASHABLE, REUSABLE" yet no where on or in the box does the item say it is washable. In fact, the directions on the box specifically state "...and replace it every 6 months for a cleaner and healthier home." Price was fine, shipping fine, delivery time fine, quality appears fine, picture of product and box is accurate, but I was expecting a wash and reuse product per the description, not a throw away as the box states.

Hoover Floormate filter
I love my Hoover floormate and this product is what I needed for the filter side of it as it vacumns and it is a great "mop". Filter was in box and new - perfect fit.

This filter keeps my Floormate running like new.
The Floormate hard floor cleaner is an excellent machine but it is critical to keep all parts clean to maintain a sealed system for picking up water. For the low price of this product I don't even try to clean and reuse - I just replace.

General Electric WB02X10700 Charcoal Filter

Not as advertised. It is not A General Electric brand filter.

I received an off brand filter instead of the advertised General Electric Filter.

Also, the filter was not even a replacement for the one I needed.

UNSAT -- NOT equivalent to WB02X10700!
This item is not the same as the GE WB02X10700. It is a flat filter. The original is shaped so the vent fan blades do not hit it. This one presses against the fan blades preventing them from turning. Further, it is listed at $7.95 but i was charged $10.29. We'll see how the return process goes.

Fits My Range
I got this as a replacement filter for the hood over the range in my house. It fits just as well as the original, and unlike the original, this one has a carbon filter to reduce odor. This was a good buy.

Honeywell Low Profile Silent Comfort Heater, HZ-617

So far so good
Nice compact, quiet, and safe heater. Puts out plenty of heat controlled by a thermostat. Auto turn-off if tipped but very stable. Fan can be turned on as well, but doesn't really make much difference, so it can be left off for silent operation. Can't imagine any other heater this size could be a better choice. It's about 3 feet wide, 6 inches thick, and 10 inches high. I haven't gone thru a winter with it yet, but it's obvious the heat it puts out will do the job.

Beware -
Opened the box, plugged it into a kitchen outlet and waited, waited, waited for the thing to warm up my small kitchen. After two hours, I could touch the unit to warm my hands, but that was about it. Called KAS, only to be told I would be responsible for the shipping costs to return it to them, and it would take 4-6 weeks for them to send another. God Bless Amazon - they paid the full return postage for a full refund on the unit.

Garbage.
This unit stopped working the first day of use. It has a shut off mechanism that cannot be reset by the user - it needs to be sent back to the factory to be reset, which is more money and time than it is worth. Garbage!

The Same But Different
I purchased this to replace the charcoal filter in my Kenmore Microhood appliance that mounts over my range. I consulted the User's Guide for the correct replacement part number. Had I ordered it from Sears online (it isn't available at their in-store parts department)it would have cost $7.99 plus an additional $7.99 for the most basic shipping. I couldn't see paying $16.00 for a filter, so I sought it out on my favorite online ordering site-Amazon. I was pleased and a bit surprised to discover the exact part number I needed for my Kenmore, was specifically made for LG Electronics microwaves as well. I grabbed it right away and got free 2-day shipping since I am a Prime member.

The filter arrived promptly, as is the case with all my Amazon purchases. After taking it from the package and inspecting it, I noticed that only one side had the aluminum grating instead of the two sides, like my original filter. When I went to install it, it didn't fit. Really did not fit my application.
The item looks fine but was not an exact fit even with the model number checked. I had to take it out of one frame to put in the one I was replacing.

mixed feelings
The pros are the price and that this pot makes very good coffee. The negative is that it malfunctions and depending on your luck can stop working after a month. I am now up to my 3rd pot of this type. My first pot lasted 1 year, the second only one month. i did attempt to change brands but could not find one that met my requirements for good coffee and ease. I bought the Technivorm for $300 which offered no features. It had no water filter which affects taste, no safety auto shut off, and the coffee taste was not better than the Krups. Moved on to the Calphalon pot which was a bust- the reviews of the Calphalon are almost all negative and i agree. This journey led me back to the Krups. I decided to deal with the reliability issue by ordering a back up pot and saving my receipt for any return. Amazon is a reliable dealer for returning defective merchandise. Good luck!

Failed at 2 months
I purchased this through Amazon on July 12, despite a few off-putting reviews. It made very good coffee (the cone shaped filter is, I think, superior to the flat ones in this regard) and it was kept at an optimal temperature for us. It was nice-looking, though the fit and finish weren't too good - the top didn't close squarely, etc. You cannot use the carafe to fill the reservoir with water because of the way the top is designed and the small opening to the water reservoir. Not ideal, but I was willing to work around all that. However, on August 20 (a few days after the last return date for Amazon), it failed in the middle of brewing a pot of coffee. Just stopped. No heat to the plate. Nothing. The clock and lights still worked, but no coffee. I went through the little check list (duh). I called Krups. I am supposed to send it to the nearest approved repair shop; they are sending me a shipping label (so generous). I will have it back or be ok'd to get a replacement in 4-5...

Very dependable
I have owned a few coffee makers (too many!)& aside from a Bodum vacuum coffee maker I have always found Krups to make a great cup of coffee. We got this one about 2 years ago & haven't had a mechanical problem yet. My only complaint is that the water compartment & brew basket are under the same lid & if you are not careful the coffee grounds can get into the water area & are awful to get out!

Range Kleen 571 Rectangle Burner Kovers, 21-Inch x 11-Inch x 1.75-Inch, White, Set of 2

"Tin Coverage"
After researching stovetop covers and finding I could order a one-piece unit for, gasp, $84 (special order to accommodate my stovetop vent), I decided on this basic alternative. Yes, $20 is a far cry from $84, but you do get what you pay for. Be forewarned they are described as "tin" and tin they are. The box they were shipped in from "Get Organized" was thin cardboard, so they arrived slightly dented and slightly scratched. They do fit over my gas burners, but since they are so thin, they do not sit level.

Works great in my kitchen
Its a great way to keep those burners clean. We dont cook that much but having those protectors on helps keep food, pet hair and anything else away from the burners and me having to clean them all the time.

Exactly What I Needed
These deep burner covers are exactly what I was looking for to keep the burners on our gas stove dust-free. Yes, they are a thin type of metal, but as long as you aren't throwing them or setting anything heavy on them, they should hold up just fine. Mine haven't had denting problems yet and I've had them for several months now. I really enjoy the uniform look when they are in place on the stove.

New Country Living Grain Mill & Large Corn & Bean Auger

Best mill. Period.
Definitely a 5-star product. Well built with very clear instructions. We use this at home to make rice flour for cooking. (One family member has issues with wheat products). It's a good deal of work, but a little easier if you run material through on a coarse setting first, then again at flour setting.

It's been a fun adventure getting used to the mill and knowing where to put the setting wheel for different textures. I've used it for grinding seeds, coffee, & flour so far. Highly recommended. No aluminum parts touch your food and everything seems well built. We've had it several months now and it shows no sign of wear or fatigue.

We haven't hooked the wheel up to an electric motor but we don't plan to. They sell a kit for that for a few hundred more. We just don't mind the work (it is a good arm workout, don't be fooled). If it seems too much they have an extension for the handle which gives more leverage. We're think

Black & Decker CM4000S 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

It's alright
Purchased this coffee maker about 6 months ago in a rush as our prior maker died the morning before a cross country move. We purchased this coffee maker at a Target store. The coffee doesnt taste too bad and I enjoy both the auto and strong brew options. What I dont like is that it beeps to say its done brewing but continues brewing for another 5 minutes after beeping. It constantly drips when the carafe is removed (the hot plate coating is now peeling off due to this). The carafe also hemorrages water or coffee when pouring. I lose almost an entire cup when pouring water into the maker - I have to hold a towel against the carafe when pouring and then have to wring the towel out.

Style on a Budget
This is an attractive coffee maker and I love that the plastic is BPA Free. The directions emphasize brewing without grounds for the first time (which I did), so we haven't experienced an "off" taste. It has an optional 1-4 cup/strong brew button to quickly produce a smaller, stronger batch. Anyway, it doesn't take long to brew an entire pot of coffee with this machine.

The "sneak-a-cup" feature works well for us (you can pull out the pot in mid-cycle and machine will pause for 30 seconds so you can pour a quick cup before it's done). Our coffeemaker doesn't leak at all during this time, but it will drip a few drops after pulling out the pot at end of brewing (after the beep).

The directions recommend using the self-cleaning function at least once a month. One button on the front is a little shaky. The cord storage at the back is much rougher on the cord than it should be. I now avoid using it to prolong the life of the cord.

The coffeemaker is louder...

I like it!
I have an older Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker that I've been using for three years and is a similarly priced budget coffeemaker as this Black and Decker CM4000S 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker.

In terms of space and storage requirements, the CM4000S is taller and has a bigger footprint than my Hamilton Beach.

Both coffeemakers work with basket-style paper filter, are easy to program, and keep the brewed coffee warm for up to two hours before powering off automatically when left to their own devices.

Some design features of this Black and Decker are more to my liking, however. For example, the auto clean feature, which is absent from the Hamilton Beach model I have, is a helpful feature that is easy to use. The button controls in this CM4000S are located at the top instead of the bottom section of the coffeemaker as they are in the Hamilton Beach. I think there is some advantage to this kind of arrangement as the button controls...

BC Classics BC-57380 Milk Frother

Don't buy this product!
I bought five of these frothers to give to people for Christmas, and none of them worked.
There is something wrong in the connections.
I wrote to the company to let them know, and got no response.

IKEA Frother is Better
I do not like this frother. It is too powerful. I have to hold it slightly sideways in the cup so that the wand will not create such a big vortex - which creates spills.

I used to own the IKEA frother. The wand does not just spin, it also oscillates in a small figure 8 creating a small vortex but an intense agitation in the cup.

I will go back to the IKEA frother.

Cheap, easy and works great!
I decided that I was tired of buying soda each morning or expensive mochas. So, I decided to make my own mochas with a Trinidad Express and little heated milk and then froth it with the milk frother. It works great, takes only a few minutes and all is good with the world!

Dundas Jafine MLFVK48E Semi-Rigid Aluminum Dryer Vent Kit

Better options available
I purchased this duct kit last week. As I expanded the duct, very gently, it completely ripped apart into a spiral when it was only about 3-4 feet long. It is too fragile to expand, and there is no way you could expand it to the full 8 feet length that is in the description. I purchased another semi-rigid duct at the store so that I could feel before purchasing to make sure it was going to be sturdy enough to expand without breaking. It is the GE Universal Gas and Electric Dryer Duct Kit, and it works fine. I was able to expand it with no problems, and it costs around the same.

Poor Quality
The hose fell apart while trying to attach to the outlet to go outside. It came unraveled and I had to go to the store and buy a new one because I needed to use my new dryer that day. Poor quality

great material for fog chilling
My wife and I used this to create a fog chiller for Halloween and it did the job wonderfully. I wish it was a bit less sturdy but overall it worked like a charm

J.A. Henckels Twin Four Star 10-Inch Honing Steel

Great for it's size...and size does matter.
I cook for a livin' and I have many honing steels, some at 14" for my big knives and this one for my 8" and under knives. I got this one in an upscale set of 4 starz and I do love it. As previously reviewed, it's not for sharpening but used to maintain a sharp edge. If you use this PROPERLY every time you use a new knife then the factory edge will last for months if not years under normal usage.
If you are collecting the 4 star line then this is a must, it is one of the most attractive steels made, the Rockwell rating is harder than any factory production blade made, the grooving is crisp and it is a bargain compared to other brands. A must replacement for a lesser steel in most 4 star sets.
It would be worth your time and money to buy the knife care video and learn how to use this well...an investment for your future enjoyment of Henckels 4 star knives.

Keeps knives 'sharp'
As other reviewers have mentioned, this does not actually sharpen your knives in the sense that it won't put an angle on your blade that isn't already there. However, what this is great for is keeping your set of kitchen knives in good (and safe) condition.

Note to novices: make sure to ask a pro or an experienced cook how to use a steel. If you hold the knife at the wrong angle, you may actually be reversing the effect the steel is supposed to have - realigning the blade to its sharpest position.

Note 2: a lot of blades these days are made with the higher-end cobalt alloy steel that is significantly harder than regular stainless. All this really means is that if you have a good knife, you technically won't have to use this every time you slice and dice, but it's still a good idea to keep the knife in the best condition possible.

Top Gun
I purchased this instrument for a gormet chef who stated that this is the best tool for the honing of knives. Though I'm not a chef, if you ate the food this guy cooks, like I have, you would place your trust in his words. This is a great gift to give.

Comfort Glow ELCG125 Electric Log Set

Big disappointment !
I received this order today and was extremely dissapointed.When purchasing this item , there were no previously written reviews .When unlit the logs
look very black and blend in with the black grate making it look like one heap of badly burned wood ( very unattractive ).I have to take the fireplace screen down to get to the insert in order to turn it on which is not convenient . When lit , the light movement is so subtle you barely notice thus you don't get the warm ambience of a fire. The crackling sound is obnoxious with a loud annoying pop ( to similute the pop of burning wood I Imagine ) that occurs constantly sounding more like a cap gun and is not realistic .You can opt for no sound but I wanted a crackling sound !

Bought it to put behind a fire screen, not bright enough to show up the great colors in the screen.

Range Kleen Set of Four Burner Kovers, White

Nice cover up for apartment stoves
I have always like to put these over an apartment or rental house stove to make a kitchen look neater and cleaner. Helps cover any burned drip pans and rings, puts a messy look out of sight. Keeps crumbs out of drip pans and provides solid surface to set things on. Practical for everyday use if you do not use all burners often. I wish they offered 3 small + 1 large set.

Detraction: if you mistakenly turn burner on with a cover on it the cover will be ruined very fast, it will burn black and smoke! Also, the edges always eventually rust from exposure to spills, and cleaning up. Wish they were made of something that would not rust. Keep them dry.

Ok, but not great.
I purchased these as a gift for my Mom since she is remodeling her kitchen and I wasn't impressed with how they shipped and came out of the box. They were not wrapped well so the burners banged against other things in the box and chipped them a little in places. If I wasn't giving them to her the minute I got them, I would probably have returned them since they were chipped. I only bought them because I couldn't find any around here for some reason and I got free shipping since I ordered other things. Otherwise, I probably would not have purchased them. They serve the purpose since I put country star decals on them and covered up some of the chips, but when you pay for something, it shouldn't come chipped.

Outstanding in simplicity
Online sites and local stores are crammed with a vast number of choices in stovetop burner covers with fancy designs and prices to match. Finally found these folks who get it!!! Plain and simple covers to keep the stovetop clean and tidy, with a product that looks great and is affordable. My kinda people!

Sharpener 12 inch Ceramic Sharpening Stick Wood Handle

Very misleading size, but a good product for the price
The advertised size is 12", but this is very incorrect. Actual length of the exposed ceramic rod is 6.75" and the overall length is 11.25".

Rod is very functional and hones my knives to a razor edge, roughly equivalent to a 2200 grit stone in my estimation. As others have noted, angle is important, you need to learn how to use it.
At 6.75", it's not very convenient when sharpening a larger kitchen knife. It will work, but you have to go a lot slower and more carefully. I have a Smith's 9" Oval Ceramic Rod on order. At $10 with a big handle and longer length, it looks like it would be a lot better for a kitchen.

By the way, when your rod gets loaded up with metal filings and you need to clean it off, Barkeepers Friend on a scrub pad will get it mostly clean, or a "Super Metal/Rust Eraser" will do the job even...

Nice finisher! Just Practice!
Ceramic rods are reasonably compact (but long), lightweight and durable- but brittle so do not drop on hard surfaces!. You need not worry about "flattening" them as regular maintenance like a stone. There is a learning curve to holding the rod or knife at the proper angle but I still find it easier than using a flat stone; with the added benefit they will sharpen an inside or re-curve much easier. Rods like these are difficult to use in re-establishing a particular cutting angle or to duplicate what came from the factory- for that get yourself a more precise sharpening system. But it is also not difficult to get a hair shaving edge with this rod! As stated previously it is something like 1800-2200 grit or 9/8 microns

Malco MB48A 48-inch Portable Brake

An Average Sheet Metal Brake
The Malco MB48A sheet metal brake is "light and portable" relative to stationary shop equipment, but it weighs about 58 lbs. It isn't anything you would enjoy carrying up a flight of stairs and it doesn't have carrying handles. The two feet that the brake rests upon slide in and out of the body of the brake. There are bolt-on clamps that you can attach to keep them captured to the body of the brake. The most troublesome aspect of the brake is the bolts that hold the handles for the clamping bar (the handles with the black grips in the photo). The threaded part of these bolts is too short and I find that the nuts tend to work their way off these bolts. These nuts have the plastic type of lock ring in them, but not enough threads of the bolt go through it. These are specialty bolts that have one section of the shaft that is oval in cross section instead of round, so you can't replace them with ordinary bolts. good quality, portable and [inexpensive] in comparison
I use this small and not to heavy break for HVAC duct work. I can carry the brake by myself and can do pretty good work with it.It's devinitly not a toy and does a great job, when you only have to use it once in a while. For every day use, you need a big break in your shop for better speed and accuracy.

4 Inches Bag Sealer IMPULSE Manual Heat Seal Closer + Free KIT Hand Held

Excellent!!
I am very satisfied with this bag sealer. Last time I bought a smaller one but didn't work. This is like a commercial product so it works right for my business.

Looks like a good sealer so far
I just got this sealer to seal 4x6 inch bags. The shipping was fast. I was worried that I would have a hard time sealing with this since the sealing length is said to be 4 inches, but it's actually a little more so that gives some room for mistakes. The heat setting is pretty straight forward; it seems the 4 setting will pretty much seal most bags. The seals are very legit and wouldn't tear or open (I even tried to break them and I couldn't do it). I like that it doesn't have too many parts to it so there's less to go wrong. The instructions had pretty bad grammar, almost comically bad grammar, but I still could understand them. The blue plastic casing doesn't look well built, but I don't think it really affects anything important. This sealer looks like an overall good product for the money so far, hope it lasts a while.

Broke after 2 weeks.
It worked great for the first 30 presses. Now it's broken. Would not recommend if you have a business and need your tools.

Deni 9780 Oval-Shaped 8-1/2-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker

Great customer service, but item quality lacking
Our first Deni went dead after one use. Deni customer service (Keystone Manufacturing) was outstanding though. Since it was a large heavy item, all they required was for the power cord to be cut off and mailed back to them, at which point they sent out a brand new pressure cooker. Unfortunately, the 2nd one arrived with the plastic base pretty much shattered, although there was no damage evident on the box. No problem! Customer service sent another replacement out immediately with no questions. Unfortunately (again), the new unit died after only 2 or 3 uses (at least it lasted longer than the 1st one!). So while their customer service seems great, this particular pressure cooker seems to die pretty easily (at least at higher altitude of the Rocky Mountain region). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is due to the customer service.

With through 4 of these!
I purchased the deni 9780 8 quart pressure cooker and all 4 were lemons. I like the looks and the features of the pressure cooker but they would only work 1 or 2 times and then it would die. This has got to be the worse pressure cooker on the market. Finally i told the deni rep to give me my money back that i think after 4 times that i should have got a good one. Dont waste your money on this lemon.

I like it. I am new to pressure cooking and have had some perfect outcomes. A few things not quite as good, but think my inexperience was more at fault. I have had great customer service when I called with questions. I needed the larger size for my bigger family and I would definitely buy it again. Have had 2 times when the lid did not seem to seat quite right and steam was escaping. I had to drop the pressure and restart the process. Would like the lid on perfect every time on the first try. There is now way to know it will leak until it leaks but again has happened only twice with many uses.

Carpet Pro CPU 2t Commercial Vacuum Cleaner

THE best Vacuum Cleaner choice, does the job by cleaning great!
PROS: It is a reasonably priced (less than half the price of a Dyson!), reasonably quiet, has a reputation for durability, picks up cat hair (yea!), and has a nice REALLY long cord so you are not having to move your plug around every room.

CONS: Haven't found any yet (that bother me)... I guess there are two things I have read: 1. some people will dislike is that it's a big yellow monster, so it doesn't have the style cachet of a Dyson or even Hoover. But it's a vacuum cleaner, so I quickly got over that. 2. There are folks who complain it does not work on hardwood floors, which mystifies me - I don't run a vacuum on hardwood - I use a Swiffer, stick broom, or good old fashioned broom. If you have mostly hardwood or vinyl floors, this might not be for you (see the negative reviews). Honestly, I would NEVER run a heavy vacuum cleaner on a beautiful hardwood floor. Maybe that is just me.

Carpet Pro ROCKS!
Years ago, I purchased the Riccar 8850. It was such a good vacuum, I purchased a second Riccar 8925 and sent the 8850 to college with kid #1. I then purchased an Oreck XL and sent that to college with kid #2. I now have both kids and all three sweepers under my roof. I have been using the 8925 upstairs and use the 8850 in the basement. The Oreck doesn't see any action. We have our Riccar's serviced every year at the cost of nearly $200 each sweeper. This last visit, I ask the shop owner how much a new Riccar comparable to my 8925 is. He quoted me $600 but would give me $100 trade in on either of my Riccar's. HE WAS NUTS. i was searching for a replacement for my kenmore cannister that lost its ooomph. after researching consumer reports i was just about set to buy the eureka 8340 series which was one of the top rated. after further research i found waay too many negative reviews in terms of reliability and quality. Tried different ways to put it in the humidifier but these never drew enough water for the humidifier to be effective. Went back to buying the OEM filters from Walmart.

Rubbermaid Commercial 9VMH12 12" Manual Height Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Better than my more expensive vacuum
This was purchased 1 year ago from a restaurant that was going out of business. I also have a Electrolux that is was sold as an air purifying vacuum. I am not a vacuum cleaner expert but for some reason this $250 dollar Rubbermaid sucks up a lot more stuff than the $2000 Electrolux that my grandmother purchased.

This vacuum has no problem with the bits of string and other "sticky" particles like threads and little pilly bits from clothing that my other vacuum won't pick up. It still seems to have a lot of sucking power after more than a year of use and also use at a restaurant.

The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it will smell a bit like electrical burning if it is on for too long, but it has been that way the whole time I have owned it and it still works. This doesn't bother me, but it might bother some people.

Quality is in the details.
How many of us buy an expensive vacuum and it has cheap plastic wheels. You'd think that if they don't invest in the basics such as quality wheels, it makes us wonder what other quality corners were cut. This product has quality rubber wheels, is heavy construction where it needs to be, and definitely lives up to its description as a "commercial" vacuum.
It's been durable, tough, and has plenty of power.

Hard to find 75 watt bulb
Amazingly low price for these 75 watt bulbs. Home Depot only had the 25 watt and 50 watt bulbs and I was having a hard time finding these bulbs at a reasonable price. They fit just right into my customers light fixtures.

As Hoped For
Needed this special little light bulb for a ceiling fan we had installed last year. The original bulb was frosted under a frosted glass fixture. This not frosted bulb seems to light the area up just a bit better.

Item arrived in time and in good condition. Can't comment on the life of the bulb yet. Honestly, I don't know what to expect for the life of these bulbs, but since the last one lasted a year, I'd hope for at least that.

problem with finials and bad service from Hunter Company
The light is beautiful but I ordered it and needed the bright brass finials. The light came with antique brass, white and 2 silver. Thinking this was an easy fix, I called Hunter - they were not helpful at all and at first tried to tell me this was not even their product. For such cheap parts, I am extremely disappointed in their lack of service.

Beautiful
Although needing additional lighting in the room, I was afraid to purchase a light for my fan because I thought it would look bulky and detract from the appearance of the fan. Far from it. It's elegant, beautifully detailed and sits softly below the fan. I highly recommend using a dimmer because, while the light is excellent and not glaring at higher levels as it lights up the ceiling and surrounds, it is also beautiful at lower levels as it illuminates the details of the glass and provides a soft glow.

Replacement
This was a replacement globe for a ceiling fan, which was broken. Fan was received timely and a breeze to install.

Great Little Machine
This is the second time I've purchased this machine. The first one lasted exactly 4 years. I find the new machine improved with the addition of a drip free pour spout. You do have to open the top to see if the brewing is finished (you can hear when its nearing the end), but for the price, this is a good value.

Works ok for small batches of coffee.

I didn't like that there was no signal when brewing is done.

The carafe is difficult to remove and replace.

Also, cleaning and filling the basket is cumbersome.

Suncast C1500K Utility Wall Cabinet

It was a little difficult for me to put together. I had two so I figured how to do it better on the second one. This is probably my fault. They are lightweight and easy to move. I am handicapped so it would be easier for others. Overall a good investment for storage.

Purchased 4 of them
After seeing a set of these cabinets in a friends garage, I decided to purchase a few. Three of them are hanging in my garage and the forth one is mounted to the exterior of my house by the pool. It makes a perfect weather proof garage for the stereo and the design of the cabinet has a neat finished look.

Assembly was straight forward and simple. Mounting was done by securing the back panel to the wall. I keep about 6 gallons of paint in one of the with no sigh of weakness.

Every summer we make salsa out of our extra pepped, onions, and tomatoes that we grow on our farm. I Roast everything and place in a 3 gallon bucket and blend....Bam!!!

It will trim your hedges and cut your grass but it is NOT for the home kitchen.
I made a mistake ordering this unit to replace two small junkers I wore out in the past. It is a quality machine, no doubt, but simply too much for the home cook. The 40qt capacity means the size of the pot so since this machine is designed for commercial use, you can imagine what it did to a 5-quart pot of steamed potatoes when trying to mash them. There is even a warning in the instruction manual that says "WARNING - COMMERCIAL USE ONLY." I have a Waring blender that is 50 years old and it looks like new and runs as good as it ever did so no doubt Waring makes a quality product. The description on Amazon's website should be more descriptive as to this machine's purpose, unless of course the buyer is cooking for several hundred people and makes potatoes by the hundred-pound bag or soup in a 20-gallon pot.

This product does a good job for cleaning carpets with our carpet cleaning machine. It is easy to use and seems to do a good job with our high traffic areas in our carpet. I loaned my carpet cleaning machine out to a friend with this product and it worked great, cleaned well and didn't leave a residue. The product can be pricey, so shop around. I would recommend this product.

DeLonghi ESAM6700 Gran Dama Avant Touch-Screen Super-Automatic Espresso Machine

Great coffee drinks at the touch of a button
After doing my own head-to-head comparison between the top DeLonghi, Saeco and Jura models, I ended up with the DeLonghi.

First and foremost, my biggest criteria was the taste of the coffee...there's no value in having a high-end espresso machine if it doesn't make coffee that's at least as good as what you can make manually. Luckily, a shop near me happens to stock all three major brands, and I was able to bring a sample of the beans I usually like and compare side by side. In addition to the DeLonghi Gran Dama, I tested the Jura Z5 and the Saeco Primea. I made a simple shot and was actually amazed by the differences - I wasn't expecting such a wide variation. Perhaps it's possible to fine tune some of these differences out, but I found the DeLonghi to be closest to my taste, with the Jura a close second. Delonghi ESAM6700 vs. Saeco Xelsis Digital ID
i purchased the delonghi 6700 16 months ago. in short, it is a great machine.

about two weeks ago, i decided to buy another super automatic for another location. i decided to try something different and purchase a saeco xelsis digital ID. this turns out to have been a mistake.

out of the box, the machine reported an "E5" error code. i called saeco and they instructed me to unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. after two tries, the machine booted up. the biggest problem with the machine is that the milk and the coffee is lukewarm at best. specifically, i used a digital instant read thermometer to check, and the milk stream out of the automatic frothing unit was only 115 degrees. the coffee was only 135 degrees. i spoke to the girl at seattlecoffeegear and she told me that she has the same unit at home and that they are all like this. looking at some of the online reviews, it looks like this is a common issue.

Way too expensive to have so many issues
I have been looking for the perfect automatic coffee/espresso machine for a long time. I have been to the big coffee websites. I've read all the reviews. And finally, with some trepidation, I laid down half my children's inheritance to purchase this DeLonghi Gran Dama machine, based on the couple of reviews that I found that placed it in a positive light.

Was it worth it? Is it right for you? Well, read on and learn everything there is to know about it from a guy who has put this machine through its paces for two months.

- Automatic burr grinder built in that grinds from a pre-filled bean reservoir. This is very convenient and it makes a fresh and fragrant cup of stuff.

Black and Decker VF100H Replacement Filter for HEPA 15.6-Volt Cyclonic DustBuster 2-PACK

Totally WRONG
The only 15.6V unit these "fit" is the outdated CHV1568, not the current 15.6V 1510 as noted elsewhere (except in the product description!). Not only that, they do not look like the real HEPA filter; they have far fewer pleats than the boxed B&D VF100H filters, and they fit loosely in my 14.4 Dustbuster that uses these filters so there is no air seal around them - meaning they won't work. I've been using real B&D VF100H filters in my 14.4v unit for three years, and the exhaust is still perfectly clean. These are useless.

Doesn't fit the CHV1510 Vac
Description says it fits ALL Cyclonic hand vacs. It doesn't. Not even close on the 1510. At some point B&D must have changed the filter design. Check carefully before yo order if they fit your model.

Not easy to find, but a fantastic product.
Talk about a challenging product to find. I've checked several stores, but almost none of them carried this model. Although, Amazon currently carries them and that really helps out immensely. I am glad I went and got the Hepa version because it will lock in more dirt and dust than the standard model. The Hepa version is slightly larger than the standard model, but looks and feels more durable as well.

In addition, not only does the filter lock in more dust and dirt, it's also much more powerful as well. I am not sure on the specifics, but because it's able to trap more dirt, the amount of time cleaning is shortened and the suction is slightly more stronger.

Overall, it's a really great product and although it did take some time to find, it is worth the purchase and is does have a variety of benefits. I've noticed though, it may be cheaper to simply purchase two filters rather one at a time. And if anything happens to the first filter, there will always be...

Stupid dishwasher...

I had no idea how much it was going to cost to fix until I saw this on Amazon. I wish it had come with more clear instructions, but I am not a dishwasher repairman. This slicer operates slowly. You can't cut smoked brisket very fast, it's a slow process. It slices stick balona, turkey, and ham lunch meats okay. It takes a little practice to get the slices to come out even, as you must work slowly. It does the job, but could use more speed and power than what it has. Overall, it does do the job, but it is slow.

Good for the price
To save money and get higher quality sliced 'deli' meats I picked up this slicer. It works well but the motor is a bit on the weak side, so take your time and don't try to force the food you're slicing, instead take your time and let the slicer accept the material at its own pace. It cleans up fairly easily, but as the instructions warn, be careful, the blade is very sharp. Suction cup like feet keep it nice and stable on the counter as it's used.

I make homemade bread and this slicer actually cuts even thin slices without tearing it up. It arrived on time but the box was damaged in shipment. However, it did not affect the performance. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Max Burton 6500 ProChef 1800-Watt Commercial Induction Cooktop

Unbelievably Quick, Loud Squeal (Update 5-28-11 USE IRON Skillets NO Squel!)
Received this last week and it works extremely well except for a loud high pitched squeal. I have tried various cookware (induction ready) and so far for the PRICE have found Winco's line of induction ware the best to use.
I have not used cast iron or carbon steel. Will be checking that over the next few days.

Changes the way you cook
I have had this item for a few weeks now, and it has performed well. It not only lets you select the power in watts for heating things up, but it will also let you select the temperature. Neither the watts or the temperature are infinitely adjustable, but there are enough choices to make it usable. For instance in temp mode you can select between 180 or 210 degrees, basically boiling or not. It will go all the way down to 140. The wattage goes all the way up to 1800 for fast heating. The wattage and temperature modes are independent of each other. Change to power and set the wattage, it will pump out that many watts continuously. Change to temperature and it will maintain the temperature you set (I assume on the bottom of the pot). As I'm sure most know you have to have pots and pans that are magnetic to make it work, and the disk they sell is no alternative if you want to boil water, or heat things up alot. Well worth it.
I still very happy after weekly use for almost six months. With rapid response and easy adjustment, I've found it versatile and reliable. I move it frequently and it travels well, but adjustable feet would be nice as many tables aren't flat or level. In the kitchen it's been a workhorse, stable and solid, it has shown little of the squealing mentioned by others. Even a slightly rounded-bottom is a bummer, though, but good cookware with a flat bottom is well worth it. Small pans or large pots both work well, as cooktop has no rim, allowing overhang. I don't like that it shuts itself off after a couple of hours, so you have to remember to turn it back on if you're cooking an all-day recipe. When done, it cools quickly (and so can be put away) and it's easy to keep clean. Nice.

Venta Airwasher -Charcoal, 5014436

Humidifies well, simple design, great warranty but poor construction & inconsistent replacement parts
After reading the reviews and seeing several advertisements, I decided to purchase the Venta LW14 for my bedroom. Venta products are German made and considering the 200.00 price tag, you might say they are the Mercedes of Humidifier/Air cleaners. Besides, Venta's advertising claims that Siegfried & Roy as well as Jose` Carreras are customers, so it's got to be good right?

The LW14 uses a very simple and efficient design of a small 2-speed fan that blows across a housing which holds 1.2 gallons of water. In the water housing lies a molded stack of 40 discs. (Picture a stack of your old '45' records all spaced about one tenth of an inch apart.) This 'disc stack' is slowly turned by a plastic gear set which is attached to the bottom of the fan shaft. As the turning wet discs are exposed to the blown fan air, the theory is that, the water will evaporate off the discs into the air and dust particles in the air are attracted to the wet discs and then deposited in the water basin...

Review of Venta LW14
I have read reviews of the larger Venta models and decided to purchase one. However, this smaller model was sufficient for the room I placed it in.

Yes, the Venta products are a wee bit pricey. However, if it lasts only half of the 10-year warranty, it will be well worth the price. I have, in the past, purchase lesser-priced products of this type and they did not last.

I like the Venta LW14-- it does its job well, as both an air purifier and humidifier.

It is fairly quiet; the only annoyance is the slight sound of the plastic gear that moves the wheel around in the unit's water tank. (Hence, I gave the product only 4 stars, instead of 5). So, if you place it in a bedroom-- the noise might bother some people who are light sleepers.

The product does not have a water level indicator; therefore, you should periodically check the water level-- I check at least once each day.

I plan to purchase a second unit, to place in my study.

Great investment-especially for people with allergies/asthma
I purchased this unit over a month ago, because I live in the valley (PHX AZ) and there is a problem with air polution during the fall to spring each year. I also quit smoking a couple of years ago and go figure I now have a bit of asthma. I've tried a few cheaper air cleaners that just did not seem to do anything for me.

Like the enclosed brochures say, you must use the water treatment and it can go through a gallon in a day. Mine does exactly that, and I do notice a difference each morning when I wake up that it helps make my breathing a bit easier.

As far an annoying clicking, there is a very light clicking when it runs, but come on, if you need absolute complete silence to sleep try a library. I appreciate just a light bit of background noise when I sleep anyway.

When I clean it every 2 weeks as suggested, I do also notice some dirt/dust residue in the reservoir.

As far as the price not being so nice, I purchased mine at Bed...

Hoover Type J Vacuum Cleaner Replacement Bags, Package of 4

Not genuine Hoover
Ordered 4 packages of this product. Go Vacuum was supplier,fulfilled by Amazon.
Received DVC brand, package of 4 bags, not 3 bags, made in China.
They are definitely lighter material than the old Hoover bags.
Staples are missing as described by previous reviewer.
Maybe the genuine Hoover bags are now flimsy as well, but I have no way
of knowing. If Amazon is going to ship generic bags they should say so.

Long lasting Vacuum bags are hard to find
Mother got her Hoover in 1970, 25 years ago she said it was old and ugly and gave it to me. I have used it for a garage vac, I thought I would throw it away when it stopped working. I think it will last forever, but bags are no longer easy to find in stores, thanks for amazon. I staple the sides of the bags like they were in the 1970's because I pick up heavy dirt and things and sometimes the glue does not hold for me.

This Hoover was made in the US when things were made to last.

Hard to find
Couldn't find these bags for my 38 year old Hoover tank cleaner anywhere in my area. Checked and no longer made by Hoover. Enter Amazon! Immeadiately found a vendor with these genuine Hoover J type bags in stock and I stocked up. Fast service, great price, and very pleased.
